After being arrested for an outstanding warrant for vehicle and traffic charges, police say he took off running.
On Wednesday, troopers took Ryan Mitchell, 24, into custody on Snowball Hollow Road in the Town of Scio. Mitchell was wanted on a bench warrant issued by Town of Scio Court for vehicle and traffic related offenses.
Police say Mitchell was able to escape from troopers and take off running. He was later caught at his home.
Now, in addition to the charges on the warrant, Mitchell is charged with second degree escape and fourth degree criminal possession of stolen property.
