A mother in Alden was arrested Saturday on charges she was smoking marijuana in front of her 1-year-old child.
Just after midnight, deputies were called to a home on Buckwheat Road after receiving complaints that 26-year-old Stephanie Marquardt was smoking marijuana in her home. Officers say when they arrived, there was evidence that Marquardt had been smoking marijuana and the home had residual smoke inside of it.
Marquardt was arrested on charges of acting in a manner to injure a child less than 17. She is due back in court next week.
Her 1-year-old child was turned over to the custody of the grandparents.
