A Buffalo man has been charged with distributing a deadly batch of fentanyl.
Authorities say 38-year-old Carlique DeBerry gave the fentanyl to a victim in February. The victim overdosed on the drug and died.
DeBerry is charged with distribution of fentanyl causing death and possession with intent to distribute fentanyl.
The charges carry a mandatory minimum penalty of 20 years in prison, a maximum of life and a $1,000,000 fine.
