A man who broke into his ex-girlfriend’s apartment, beating and stabbing her, was sentenced to 12 years in prison Thursday.

Jeffrey Williams, 21, beat his ex-girlfriend so severely she suffered a collapsed lung and lacerated liver.

It happened in April this year. Williams broke into her apartment, beat and stabbed, then forced her into his car while she was half-naked. He continued to beat her while driving her around for 15 minutes before dumping her out of his car on her front lawn.

Williams was arrested a few hours later, but refused to leave the victim alone. He called her twice from jail and then used a third party to connect his call to the victim since he was prohibited from calling her directly.

After Williams spoke with her, the victim fled the state.

The victim was located in Atlanta, Georgia and brought back to Buffalo to prosecute Williams, who was sentenced to 12 years in prison for first degree assault.
