A man is facing charges after police say a meth lab was found during a house fire.
The fire began around 11:45am April 18 in the second floor apartment of a home on Maple Street in Jamestown. It caused substantial damage and fire officials say they found the makings of a meth lab while sifting through debris.
Armed with a search warrant, investigators say they found more evidence and a warrant was issued for the resident’s arrest.
On Tuesday, 36-year-old Richard Brown was taken into custody and charged with felony third degree unlawfully manufacturing methamphetamine.
Police say additional charges are expected over the fire.
