A man who was the getaway driver in two bank robberies has pleaded guilty.

In July 2013, 27-year-old Ronald McClendon, Jr. of Buffalo drove Adlyn Marie Echebarria Robles to an M&T Bank on Hertel Avenue and then a little more than two weeks later drove her to an M&T Bank on Elmwood Avenue.

In both robberies, Robles claimed she had a bomb and demanded money from the teller. McClendon then drove her from the scene.

McClendon pleaded guilty Tuesday to bank robbery and could face up to 20 years in prison.

Robles was convicted of bank robbery and is serving a two-year sentence.
