A man who deputies say illegally used his company’s credit card and then held their truck hostage is facing several charges.
Jason Compton, 37, of Moravia was arrested last week after Shriver Trucking in the Town of Bennington says it discovered he had used the business’s credit card and made several unapproved purchases throughout NYS, totaling $1,500.
At the time he was approached about the theft, deputies say Compton refused to disclose the location of a 2008 Kenworth semi truck and trailer belonging to the company. The owner found it two days later in Syracuse.
Compton is charged with fourth degree grand larceny and petit larceny. He was taken to the Wyoming County Jail on $1,500 bail.
