A Niagara Falls man is accused of purposely hitting two people with his vehicle following a fight outside of a bar.

Officers were on their way to reported fight in progress at Soliday's bar on Lockport Road in the Town of Niagara in the overnight hours Sunday when they found the driver of the vehicle allegedly involved near the scene and pulled him over.

Police say 34-year-old Brian Moody was driving drunk and in possession of marijuana. He was taken into custody.

As officers arrived at the bar, they say they learned that Moody had gotten into a fight with two men outside the bar before getting in his car and purposely hitting both men.

The men struck the car's windshield and were thrown to the ground. Both suffered minor injuries and were treated and released from area hospitals.

Moody is charged with second degree assault, DWI, reckless driving, and unlawful possession of marijuana.

He's being held in the Niagara County Jail on $5,000 bail.
