The Lancaster Police Department is looking for a man they say drove into a fire hydrant and drove away.

The hit-and-run happened on Christmas Eve at the Kwik Fill gas station on Transit Road near Genesee Street.

Police say the man was driving a white pickup truck, possibly a Ford Ranger when he hit the fire hydrant and ripped it out of the ground.

The suspect then went into the Kwik Fill station, purchased items, and then left.

He was caught in surveillance photos by the Kwik Fill station, and is known to frequent that location.

Police are asking anyone who recognizes the suspect to contact Lancaster Police.
