The former treasurer for a fire company in Genesee County now admits he stole nearly $46,000 to feed his gambling habit.

Dennis Snow, 61, pleaded guilty Tuesday to fourth degree grand larceny and second degree forgery. Between 2007 and 2013, the former treasurer for the LeRoy Fire Department and LeRoy Fireman’s Benevolent Association stole the funds, much of which he spent on gambling.

Snow will be sentenced in February and is expected to pay restitution for the thefts.
