A Lackawanna man is accused of choking his 91-year-old mother until she passed out.
Police were called to Keever Avenue last week after officers say 58-year-old Andrew Goodman attacked the elderly woman. Authorities say Goodman came home drunk, punched his mother in the face, causing swelling and a cut to her arm, then choked her until she passed out.
Officers found Goodman in his bedroom, but he refused to walk to the police car and had to be physically carried there and to the cellblock.
Goodman is charged with third degree assault, second degree strangulation and endangering the welfare of an elderly person.
