A cell phone left on a bar led to a Blasdell man’s arrest on child porn charges.
Brian Mackinnon, 39, left his phone at a bar in the village in August 2015. Those who found it discovered it contained child porn.
The phone was turned over to authorities, who, after a long investigation, charged Mackinnon with possession of a sexual performance of a child under 16, a Class E felony.
Mackinnon pleaded guilty when he was arraigned.
As part of a condition of his plea, he will have to register as a sex offender.
