The homeowner tells 7 Eyewitness News, he was sleeping when the car crashed. He said he heard a bang, saw his living room was a mess and heard voices in his basement.
"I heard voices down in the basement and I went outside they (police) told me to get out of the house because there was a cloud," he said. "I thought it was smoke but it was a cloud of gas inside the house so I got out of the house, walked over to the side and a guy came crawling out of the hole in the wall."

Cheektowaga's Assistant Chief Jim Speyer said speed may have played a role in the crash but doesn't believe either of the men were under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Marcellus Hutcherson Jr., 24, of Buffalo and Caesar Scott, no age given, of Cheektowaga were in the vehicle. Police say Scott suffered a serious spinal injury in the crash and is at ECMC.
Speyer said charges are pending on the investigation. The car was removed from the basement just before noon on Tuesday.
