Five children were inside a Jamestown home where police say they found more than 400 envelopes of heroin.

Juan Valasquez-Rodriguez, 37, and Misha Gonzalez, 34, were taken into custody on Sunday after their home on East 2nd Street was raided. In addition to heroin, officers say they also found around 50 capsules filled with powder cocaine and drug packaging material in the couple’s home.

Five children, ages 1-9, were removed from the home and are in the custody of a family member, who is under the supervision of Child Protective Services.

Their parents are both charged with two counts of third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, one count of criminal possession of drug paraphernalia and five counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

Additional charges are expected.
