Sixteen kids are in trouble after police say they caught them at an underage drinking party last weekend.

On Saturday, police in North Tonawanda were called to the Wurlitzer Park area on reports of a loud party. As officers arrived, several kids bolted but 16, ages 15-17-years-old, remained.

Police say they found alcohol and marijuana at the party. No adults were home.

Officers called the kids’ parents, who came to pick them up. Anyone whose parents couldn’t be reached were driven home by police.

The North Tonawanda School District is conducting an investigation and will discipline the kids under the school’s Code of Conduct.
