A large fight with multiple gunshots sent Dunkirk Police to the Halas Hotel Bar overnight, according to officers.
Police say they responded to 92 East 2nd Street just after 1:30 a.m. and dispersed a large, unruly crowd gathered in the street outside the bar.
Police were able to identify a suspect responsible for the gunshot complaint. Officers also say they found a loaded 9 mm handgun, which the suspect hid in the restroom inside the bar.
Police say the suspect, Hector Camacho Jr., was charged with second degree criminal possession of a weapon for having the loaded gun, third degree criminal possession of a weapon for being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm and another count of third degree criminal possession of a weapon for having a large capacity ammunition feeding device.
All of Camacho's charges are felonies.
He is being held without bail at the Dunkirk Police Lockup until his arraignment.
Police are still investigating the incident and expecting more arrests.
Dunkirk Police were assisted by the Fredonia Police Department, Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office and the New York State Police.
