Police arrest man in connection to a hostage call

Buffalo police announced Saturday, an arrest was made in connection to a hostage call they received just before 11 p.m. on Friday. 

Robbie Said, 38 of Buffalo was taken into custody around 2:00 a.m. Saturday, after the Buffalo SWAT team, deployed tear gas into his residence on the 1900 block of Broadway. 

Upon arrival, police say two hostages escaped the residence. They were notified that Said was armed, possibly with two guns. 

The Crisis Management Team were also on hand to assist the SWAT team. 

He's charged with criminal possession of a weapon, assault, and endangering the welfare of a person. 

According to authorities, the two people who escaped and Said know each other.
