Early this morning, Chautauqua County Sheriff's Deputies say they caught two adults driving with drugs and alcohol, all while a 9-year-old child was sitting in the back seat.

Deputies explain that they pulled over 29-year-old Cassie Moore, the driver, and 31-year-old Robert Hallett, who was sitting in the front passenger seat, because Moore was speeding. Once they looked inside the car, police say they noticed Hallett had an open container of alcohol.

Also in the car was marijuana, prescription pills, and other drug paraphernalia.

Both Moore and Hallett were charged with multiple drug charges, as well as endangering the welfare of a child. They were both released on an appearance ticket, and will be back in court at a later date.
