Plenty of excitement behind UB Bulls upset

Excitement is still in the air after the University at Buffalo Bulls upset Arizona Wildcats on the basketball court Thursday night.

Shortly after the buzzer, students say the campus was “lit.”

“People were running outside with their shirts off. It was snowing. People were just going crazy. It’s insane,” UB Student Athlete, Max Michel said.

A crowd of fans even gave the team a warm welcome back at their hotel after the huge 89-68 win.

This morning, in true “One Buffalo” fashion, Bills General Manager, Brandon Beane even gave the “horns up” sign before a news conference.

It’s clear the Bulls are turning doubters into “Bull-ievers.”

“Me personally, I did not think we were going to win,” Michel said.

But since they did win, t-shirts and hats have been flying off the shelves at the UB Bookstore. The store is also receiving a lot of orders online.

“So many orders that we are getting them out as fast as we can. There is definitely a backlog but we’ll shop them all today,”  University at Buffalo Bookstore General Merchandise Team Lead, Megan Miller said.

The UB Bulls move on to play Kentucky in the second round of the NCAA March Madness Tournament on Saturday.
