The website to renew pistol permits is now up and running.
Across the state, New Yorkers will now have to be re-certified for their pistol permits in accordance with the statewide Safe Act.
Under the law, anyone who holds a pistol permit will have to renew theirs every five years.
If you have a permit, you will have until January 31st, 2018 to re-register.
