Phony website warning from Sabres

With the holidays just around the corner, don't get ripped off when looking for Buffalo Sabres gear.

The Better Business Bureau is now working with the team to warn consumers of phony internet websites that offer Sabres gear that is not legitimate.

One site "hockeysabresshop.com" turned out to be a domain name from overseas that was using both the Sabres and the BBB logo fraudulently.  One customer ordered and paid for merchandise that never came, and there turned out to be no way to contact the owners of the site.

Authorities suggest you always shop at established stores and on reputable websites.  Always be aware of deals that sound too good to be true.
