Pedestrian struck on Niagara Falls Boulevard

A 45-year-old male was struck while crossing Niagara Falls Boulevard Saturday according to Amherst Police.

Police say Mark A. Buffington, of no permanent address, was struck by a 2013 Honda being driven by a 20-year-old male from Cheektowaga just after 5 p.m. on the 2000 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard.

Buffington sustained minor injuries and was transported by Twin City Ambulance to ECMC where he is listed in stable condition.

The Town of Tonawanda Police assisted Amherst Police at the scene, the accident remains under investigation and no charges have been filed at this time.
