Partying for St. Patrick's Day? Leave your keys.

Designated Drivers of Buffalo will offer extended service St. Patrick's Day weekend to help parade-goers and other revelers get home safely after drinking.

The service is offering discounted, member rates to anyone who requests a ride Thursday through Sunday. The service will also be adding extra drivers to meet the increased demand.

Safe rides will be available Thursday, March 17 through Saturday, March 20 from 6 p.m. to 4 a.m., and again on Sunday, March 21 from 3 p.m. to 4 a.m.

This weekend's rates for an on-demand ride are $25 plus $3 per mile.

To ensure customer safety, all employees of Designated Drivers of Buffalo are required to pass a complete background check, driving record check, and driving safety training prior to giving their first ride.  Drivers are uniformed with ID tags when they arrive to pick up customers.
