Panasonic is looking to hire new employees in various positions to work at the upcoming SolarCity plant in South Buffalo.

The company held a brief information meeting Tuesday morning, when it outlined available openings and passed out flyers for its job fair next week.

Terry VanEpps, a talent acquisition manager with Panasonic, said there are still multiple openings in various positions, including production, engineering and supply chain. VanEpps also said there are jobs available for different levels of experience, including entry-level positions.

"We have anything from ground-level... and then going up from there," VanEpps said. "We're also looking for folks that have experience in machine operation, supervisory experience and different engineering backgrounds."

In terms of engineering jobs, VanEpps said minimal experience and a degree is required for many of the openings. VanEpps also mentioned that the supply chain jobs are open for workers with various levels of experience.

The career fair will take place on July 26 from 5:30 to 8:30 at the Buffalo Training and Education Center. Interested applicants can RSVP here using the location keyword "Buffalo" or by sending an email to BuffaloRecruiting@us.panasonic.com with the subject "Buffalo Hiring Event" with job interests and a short background included.
