There was a Thursday night painting class at Paint the Town. It's small, but it's special.

“It's a tragedy. Do whatever we can to help out,” said Jarael Adams, the the owner of the Allentown art gallery.

Adams, like many around Buffalo, were crushed when they heard a mother of five was shot to death in her car one week ago on Butler Avenue. He opened his business for a special paint party.
The painters are family or friends of LaKendra Tillmon.

The class was small but a lot of people bought tickets. Proceeds from the tickets will benefit Tillmon's children. While the painting party has already happened, Adams says people can still go to his website to help donate to Tillmon's family.
