Organization helps pair Vets with service dogs

This Veteran's Day Weekend, local vets want to make sure their comrades aren't left behind.

Dogtags New York visited the Buffalo Beauts game Sunday, raising awareness for their organization which helps pair a veteran with a service dog.

Local vets like Rein Butterworth say the program has saved his life.

"When times get really tough, I grab my dog and I hug him and he puts a smile on my face," he said. "Honestly these dogs do more wonders than any of the drugs or pills that i could receive from the VA."

Dogtags New York goes to shelters to pairs vets with animals. It's all done through donations and fundraisers.

Butterworth says service dogs help vets with confidence.
