The news doesn't always have to be so serious, that's the message coming from Onion founder, Scott Dikkers.

When you read the online publication, you quickly realize its writers and editors can find the entertainment in current events, everyday life, just about anything.

Dikkers spoke at Daemen College in Amherst Thursday evening and the Now Buffalo crew got a chance to ask him why he thinks satire is so important in today's world.

"It can be risky", said Dikkers, but for people who are level headed and understand satire, I think it's important and delightful to have something that makes light of the terrible things in the news."
