Olean Police are warning neighbors of an imposter pretending to work with the City Water Department.
Police say a white male, about 5'7" tall, driving a white pick up truck, approached a woman in the west end Monday. Investigators say the man asked to come inside her house to check her water meter.
The suspect was not an employee of the city , according to police.
If anyone tries this at your home and does not have proper identification, police say call them right away at 376-5677.
