Olean High School student arrested for making school threat

A 14-year-old student has been arrested and charged with third degree menacing for making a school threat.

According to police, a female student made verbal threats against Olean High following yesterday's "Walkout out for Awareness" event held to bring attention to school violence. 

The 14-year-old student has been suspended from school and will appear in Cattaraugus County Family Court.

Third-degree menacing is a misdemeanor.
