The old Erie County SPCA in Tonawanda has gotten a makeover, turning into a luxury pet resort.
Creature Comforts Pet Resort on Ensminger Road in Tonawanda offers boarding, grooming, daycare and training. This is the second location for owner Emily Handschumaker. The original location is in Angola.
This northtowns project has been a labor of love for Handschumaker and her staff. She says it was a small group that remodeled and launched the newest location, offering space for hundreds of animals— from dogs, to cats, to pot-bellied pigs!
The facility offers luxury suites, complete with beds, blankets and pillows as well as television screens and webcams with secure access for owners to check in on their pets at any time.
Creature Comforts is staffed 24 hours a day. Staff are committed to keeping the animals happy and healthy. They customize any special meals for your pets and can provide medications and care for special needs animals.
Handschumaker is a former veterinary technician, bringing expertise in the health of animals to her pet resort. Creature comforts also offers shuttle services to pick up and drop off your animals.
