Beginning this year, Buffalo's Old First Ward neighborhood's Saint Patrick's Day Parade will be undergoing some some logistical changes.
When the parade steps off from the Valley Community Center, it will go down Hamburg Street onto South Street and eventually wrap up at Louisiana Street, instead of O'Connell Street, as was done in years past.
Organizers say that unruly behavior in recent years has prompted this change.
Also, beads, candy, and similar items will no longer be allowed to be thrown to those watching from the assembled crowd.
The annual parade will be held Saturday, March 19th at 12 p.m.
