The staff at Oishei Children's Hospital is celebrating one year at the hospital's new location on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus.

On Friday, the hospital marked one year at Ellicott Street by welcoming families who were part of move-in day, and some of the first babies born at the new location. The now year-old babies took part in a birthday "cake smash."

Oishei Children's Hospital moved and changed its name on November 10, 2018. The old hospital, called Women and Children's Hospital of Buffalo, was located on Bryant Street. A plan is in the works to convert the old site and surrounding area into a development called "Elmwood Crossing."
