Off-duty officer 'slashed' with knife outside Cole's, suspect arrested

A 27-year-old suspect was arrested this morning after an off-duty officer was 'slashed' in the arm with a knife at a popular Buffalo bar. 

Police say bouncers were removing Denzel Fuller from Cole's on Elmwood Avenue early Wednesday morning when a scuffle began. 

Fuller engaged the officer and slashed him in the arm with a knife. The Buffalo resident fled the scene but was later arrested. 

The officer was taken to a hospital and received stitches. He has been released. 

Fuller is charged with criminal possession of a weapon and felony assault in the second degree.
