Buffalo Police announced they have arrested two individuals in connection with an overnight shooting on the 1200 block of Broadway that involved an off-duty Buffalo Police Officer.

Just before 3:30 a.m., 29-year-old Christopher Bridgett, an off-duty Buffalo Police Officer, and a 28-year-old Darnell Davis were leaving the Groove Lounge.

Police say upon entering their vehicle, 41-year-old Adrian Lias, of Buffalo, approached the vehicle and began shooting.

Both Bridgett and Davis were shot. They were transported to ECMC and were listed in good condition. Both have since been treated and released.

According to police, Ferry-Fillmore officers pulled over a vehicle that matched the description of the vehicle involved in the shooting a short time later.

Lias was arrested and charged with two counts of assault in the first degree, criminal possession of a loaded weapon, and reckless endangerment.

A second suspect, 40-year-old Reginald Hokes, of Charlotte, North Carolina, was arrested and charged with possession of a loaded weapon.

The shooting remains under investigation by detectives and the Internal Affairs Unit of the Buffalo Police Department.
