New York State Electric and Gas Corporation (NYSEG) and National Grid say they are closely monitoring the weather as the forecast predicts a wind storm.
Both companies are getting crews and equipment ready. NYSEG says it is securing resources to make sure they can respond to downed power lines and power outages today and throughout the evening. National Grid also plans to track the storm and respond as quickly and safely as possible.
The National Weather Service issued a high wind warning from noon through 11 p.m. Tuesday for the following counties: Niagara, Orleans, Erie, Wyoming and Chautauqua.
Both companies ask customers to stay safe and beware of downed power lines and weakened tree limbs.
