New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman is coming to Buffalo on Wednesday.
His office is not releasing much information, only saying that the announcement is related to November's historic snow storm.
However, Schneiderman has been very vocal about price gouging investigations related to Winter Storm Knife.
During the storm and its recovery, Schneiderman issued an alert to warn consumers and businesses about reports of mark-ups of essential items.
It is illegal to increase the cost of necessities during natural disasters and severe weather.
The Attorney General says his office has started to look into complaints coming in and plans to take legal action.
Schneiderman's announcement is expected to come Wednesday afternoon at one. Other top officials, including U.S. Attorney William Hochul, plan to join him.
