The push continues to try and make U.S. gun laws tougher, especially when it comes to illegal guns out on the streets.
U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand was in Buffalo Friday taking part in a round-table discussion about the problem of illegal guns. Law enforcement says it is now common practice for some people to buy guns legally in one state and then come into another state and sell them to people who can't buy them legally.
Gillibrand wants to sponsor a new federal law that would severely strengthen current laws pertaining to illegal guns.
