The New York residents have one more month if they need to register to vote in November.
The state deadline to register in time for the upcoming presidential election is October 14. Election Day is November 8.
Governor Andrew Cuomo is reminding residents who want to register or to change their enrollment information that they can use the online voter registration service on the state Department of Motor Vehicles' website.
The so-called MyDMV automated system has processed more than 467,000 online voter registration applications since 2012.
