According to New York State Police, the Bureau of Criminal Investigation arrested 33-year-old Anthony J. Crowley for identity theft and grand larceny on January 14th, 2018.

Officials say on June 19th, 2017, the BCI received a complaint about a developmentally disabled 33-year-old victim possibly being taken advantage of by Crowley. An investigation revealed Crowley had the victim living with him in poor living conditions for an extended period of time.

The North Tonawanda man had opened a checking account in the victim's name and used more than $4,000 from the account for personal use.

Crowley was arrested and processed in Lockport and arraigned at North Tonawanda Court. He is expected to return to court later in January 2018.
