A North Tonawanda man was charged with DWI after police say he rear-ended a car then drove away.
Police say 49-year-old Daniel Duguay hit a car that was stopped in traffic on the Twin City Highway, then left the scene. The victim followed Duguay to a home on Division Street then called the police.
When police got there, they said Duguay's car was damaged, and that he told them he didn't remember hitting a car. He also told police he had, "a few beers at home" and was going to a friend's house.
Police say Duguay failed field tests and was arrested for DWI as well as leaving the scene of an accident and driving with an expired license. He blew a .21 BAC. Police say they also found a baggie of marijuana and a pipe in the back seat of his car.
