Nike has a new product for Muslim athletes: the “Nike Pro Hijab”.
The head cover, which hasn’t hit stores yet, is a single-layer pull-on design made with lightweight polyester. It comes in dark and neutral colors. The custom hijab comes complete with tiny holes in the fabric to help circulate air.
Nike said they started developing the new product after Muslim athletes complained a traditional hijab was cumbersome during competition.
The new Nike Pro Hijab will be available Spring 2018, but a prototype is already being worn by Emirati figure skater Zahra Lari.
