Beginning Monday, March 5th, the Niagara County SPCA will offer discounted spay/neuter to the public regardless of income or residency.
This service is available to cats, and dogs up to 50lbs.
Along with the spay/neuter surgery includes age appropriate vaccinations, a general dewormer, flea treatment and post surgical pain management.
The cost for a feline spay or neuter is $125.
The cost for dogs is as follows:
Male dogs/puppies up to 25 lbs $150
Female dogs/puppies up to 25lbs $175
Male dogs 25 lbs - 50 lbs $175
Female dogs 25 lbs- 50 lbs $200
Animals must be 2 months or 2 lbs in order to qualify for surgery. The SPCA will also offer at the time of surgery microchips for $15 (includes registration), FELV/FIV tests for cats for $15, heartworm tests for dogs for $15 and pre-anesthetic bloodwork: comprehensive profile $45 or Jr. profile for $40. It is recommended that any animal over the age of 7 years have a comprehensive panel run prior to administering anesthesia.
