A Niagara Falls man will be spending his weekends in jail over a home improvement scam.

On Thursday, 45-year-old Joseph Lloyd was sentenced to four months of weekends in jail and five years probation over several unfinished home improvement contracts.

According to the District Attorney's Office, Lloyd admitted to taking money from three different victims for home improvement projects, but never did the work. In total, Lloyd scammed nearly $18,000 from his victims.

Lloyd pleaded guilty to Grand Larceny and Scheme to Defraud back in February.
