Niagara Falls burglary caught on tape

Posted

A Niagara Falls man said he feels violated and quite frankly scared, after someone broke into his garage early Tuesday morning. Mark Leo said he had just left for work when the break-in happened.

"I was up all night just trying to go to sleep. I end up missing a day of work today because I couldn't sleep last night. You know it's really nervous for me. Me and my fiancee are expecting a baby soon," Leo said.

His home security cameras caught the whole act, including the face of the crook. The video shows a white male walking up to the garage door, cut the locks, and lifted the garage door. He then went inside and took about $500 worth of tools, including a saw and ladder.

"I'm hoping that he's going to be caught. I just hope he's caught so no one else can have their things stolen," Leo said.

According neighbors, this isn't the first garage burglary in this community. 7 Eyewitness News went to Niagara Falls Police Department for answers. But we were told detectives couldn't be located to talk.
