A Middleport farm owner has signed over his animals to the Niagara County SPCA following a raid of the farm and animal cruelty charges.
The Niagara County SPCA says the civil case against Richard Heschke will be dropped, but the criminal charges remain. The SPCA says Heschke failed to provide the animals with proper food or medical care.
The SPCA seized 45 cattle, two pigs, 12 ducks and several cats from the farm on Drum Road.
