Students were getting their hands dirty, all to help out their local community.

On Tuesday, students, faculty and staff from Niagara Catholic Jr./Sr. High School volunteered throughout Niagara County as part of annual, "Day of Caring."

With 200 volunteers, the group participated in activities at 18 sites across the area.

Students were busy gardening, cleaning, organizing food pantries, running Bingo Programs at Senior Centers, and working with Pre-K students.

According to the school, this year, students will complete 1,000 hours of community service in Western New York.
