This morning a group of transit riders protested the boardroom chambers of Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority’s headquarters.

The riders are demanding to have their voices heard by the NFTA board. They say they want a greater influence on the decision-making process that oversees NFTA Buses and Trains.

Riders feel there is a lack of representation of the people who actually use this form of transportation on the board.

Some of the concerns are cuts in service, elimination of routes, inaccessible and unsafe bus stops, long wait times, and a lack of access to jobs in the region use public transit.

The Buffalo Transit Riders United members are set to have a Rider’s Board meeting at 1pm on Saturday, April 7th at St. Paul’s Cathedral.
