Police have charged two suspects in connection with a shooting in the Metro Rail University Station that happened last Friday.

Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority Police officers and detectives responded to the station around 11:20 p.m. on December 16 after a 911 call reported a person was shot.

Investigators say the victim had a serious injury to his right arm/elbow and mid-torso. He is in stable condition at Erie County Medical Center.

With the help of evidence and video from NFTA and University of Buffalo cameras, investigators were able to identify Arkeil Gaskin as a possible suspect and Allen Jackson as a possible suspect.

NFTA and FBI SWAT teams executed two search warrants for each suspects' addresses. Investigators found evidence related to the investigation.

Gaskin, 18, is charged with attempted homicide, assault and criminal possession of a weapon.

Jackson, 17, was arrested. During his arrest police found a loaded magazine. He is charged with active bench warrant for criminal trespass and false personation.
