The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority (NFTA) increased security as a safety precaution following the terror attacks in Brussels.

Visible and undercover officers have been added at all NFTA facilities, including airports in Cheektowaga and Niagara Falls, the bus terminal, and Metro stations throughout Buffalo.

"I think it is better to air on the side of caution, and give people a comfort level and our employees as well," said C. Douglas Hartmayer, director of public affairs for the NFTA.

7 Eyewitness News reporter Ed Reilly went the Buffalo-Niagara International Airport to see how security was stepped up and he talked with a local security expert about what the future of airport security might hold.
