Shots fired in Niagara Falls Saturday night landed one man in the hospital.

The victim was at his home in the 7900 block of Lindbergh Avenue waiting for Courtney Williams, 18, to pick him up.

When Williams arrived, he texted the victim to let him know he was outside. When the victim exited his home, Wiliams was with another man.

The three were walking to a car when police say Williams and the other man pulled out guns and shot the victim multiple times before fleeing the area.

The victim was taken to Erie County Medical Center and is in stable condition.

Williams and two other people were seen in ECMC by friends of the victim. After investigation police found they were there for a reason unrelated to the victim. The Niagara Falls Police Department and Niagara Falls detectives interviewed the parties.

Williams and one of the other people with him, Lacory Edwards, 18, were both arrested on assault charges and transported to Niagara Falls Police headquarters.

Detectives are still investigating leads and reviewing evidence. Anyone with information related to this incident is encouraged to call detectives at 289-4553.
